Samantha Adams

Art Therapist

Sam is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, art therapist, and artist from Lynn. She graduated from Lesley University in 2017 with her bachelor's degree in art therapy and again in 2020 with her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling with a focus on art therapy. She received her LMHC in 2024. Prior to RAW, Sam worked in bereavement centers doing arts-based grief counseling with children and families who experienced the loss of a loved one. As a part of the RAW team, Sam uses a person-centered and trauma-informed approach when working with adolescents in a therapeutic school setting. She is passionate about the healing nature of the arts and the power of metaphor and meaning-making. As a mixed media artist, Sam loves to paint, draw, sculpt, and bind her own books. Sam also enjoys spending time with family, walking the beach, and reading.

Sam joined the RAW team in 2020.
