Primordial

Primordial is a piece from my latest series called Pedestals, which is a reflection on the concept of progress. Humanity has long equated linear, technological advancement with progress, and it is only rather recently that we have begun to examine the detrimental effects of an attitude of domineering millenia in the making. Now we stand at a crossroads where we must examine our methods, and call upon a primordial sense of coexistence rather than control.

Fun fact: I’ve been taking some time during this period to reignite my love of music, and I’m currently working on a solo project in which I play all instruments in addition to recording and producing. There’s a lot to learn in that regard, but I’m having fun with the process of layering sounds, which is similar to what I do with layers in printmaking and collage.
