Caleb Keys

Americorps Fellow

Caleb Keys is an artist currently serving at RAW Art Works in Lynn Massachusetts in 2023. As an Americorps Fellow, he serves alongside RAW’s program staff to ensure multilingual learners experience a sense of belonging and have opportunities to further develop their SEL skills. Some of his responsibilities include co-leading Project Launch workshops, holding college and career exploration 1:1s, supporting the application process, and maintaining meaningful relationships with students, families, and community partners.

In his work, Caleb is interested in thought-provoking processes that rearrange the way we think. In a recent exploration, Painting Bag, he explores painting without thought. He covers himself in paint and lets muscle memory and instinct take control creating abstract impressions on his active sculptural surface.

Caleb grew up in Massachusetts and recently moved to Lynn after graduating from Montserrat College of Art with a BFA in Photo/Video/Film. During college, Caleb worked as a darkroom monitor for the school, helping students with the studio facilities and taking care of the darkroom. Before RAW, Caleb worked with Studio Fresh to create custom hand-painted murals and graphics in the Boston area.
